Having taught hula for over 30 years, Kumu Kea knows first hand the difficulty of finding good recordings of songs that are both age appropriate for the young ones and suitable in tempo and arrangement for dancing. She decided to provide such an album for young dancers and hula teachers of young children throughout the world.
The selections on this album provide music for hula dancers from the young age of four to the pre-teens. The tempo of the songs and the arrangements without musical interlude make it possible to use the songs for performance a well as rehearsal. We feel sure this CD will be joyously welcomed by young students and hula teachers throughout the world.
